Hello.
Work's a little slow right now, but I guess I should enjoy it while it lasts because a whole slew of cold calling is waiting for me next month. That will definitely not be fun.
I guess in conjunction with my facebook, I should describe a little more about the food I've eaten lately.
This is mostly to make my good friend jealous, which I love doing with food because there really isn't any other way I can make him jealous.... other than my presence in Japan as a whole.

Okay. Above is what is called "tsuke-men." It's a type of ramen but the difference is the noodles are separated from the soup. The soup is also much more concentrated than regular ramen. This is because when you eat this thing, you dip the noodles in the soup and then eat it. For any flavor to come out of it, the soup needs to be more concentrated. When you want to drink the soup you use the soup broth kettle given to you at a later time and thin the soup, thus making it "potable."
This specific shop lets you choose the amount of noodles from small, medium, large amounts with no price difference. This is great especially when you're really hungry (obviously).
The soup is more or less fish based, or that's what you notice most about the soup when you taste it. I'm sure there's chicken or pork broth in it, but it's the fish that makes the soup really good.
All in all, it's definitely worth a try, and it's very close to where I live so if any of you come visit me, I'll take you there.
By the way, I've joined an affiliate program where if I have my visitors click on a link, I can earn a yen (less than a penny but it's extra income nontheless). You don't have to buy anything and most of you reading this aren't fluent in Japanese so it wouldn't matter anyway. Just click the link and close the browser if you wish, but just that lets me get that much richer. I urge all of you to click.
